For parents and teachers

Tethys Discovery is made for kids ages 9 to 13. Here is what this site does and does not do.

What we don't collect

• No accounts or sign-ups.
• No email addresses, names, or other personal information.
• No advertising, tracking, or third-party scripts.
• No comments, chat, or uploads.

What is stored

The map remembers which places a visitor has revealed. That progress is stored only in the browser on that device. Use "Clear my map" on the Sky City Map page to remove it.

Real science, imagined world

Sky City, the Tethys creatures, and the stories are imagined. The science they teach is based on real fossils, real geology, and real biology. Where a creature is a hypothesis, the game labels it that way.

Water and outdoor play

Rope swings, slides, and water play in the game are imagined. Real swimming, swinging, and water play need adult supervision and a safe, designed space.
